Ad Targeting

General Ads
When you buy a general ad, your message will appear on the highest traffic page on SpeedTrap.org (the 'Home Page').

State-Specific Ads
If you are looking to target motorists looking at speed traps in a particular state, we offer the option to buy an ad that appears each time a speed trap is accessed in that state.

City-Level Ads
If you are looking to only target motorists looking at speed traps in a particular city, we offer the option to buy a banner ad specifically for that city.

Pricing

The minimum duration of all ads is one month. The basic ad rates are listed below. Payment is required in advance of posting the ad. Automatic payment options are available. In the event that multiple advertisers desire the same specific ad location, bids will be accepted with the space going to the highest bidder, in the following month.

Bidding Process

If you wish to place your ad in a location being used by another advertiser you may place a bid for that location. The procedure is as follows:

Call 1-800 SPEEDTRAP (773-3387) Or, e-mail: bid@motorists.org to request the current price for the ad space that you are interested in. If you decide to bid for this space your bid must be in whole dollar denominations.

The current advertiser will be notified of your bid and will be given the opportunity to exceed your bid. If the current advertiser exceeds your bid they will retain the ad space for the following month, after which you may place another bid, if you still desire this ad location. If the current advertiser declines to bid you will be given the contested ad space for the amount of your bid.

All ad contracts run for a period of one month. Automatic renewal options using monthly automatic withdrawals are available.

When you're ready to place an ad, simply give us a call at
(608) 849-6000 or send an email to speedtrap@motorists.org.
