Alton & Town center
If you are driving along Alton& Town Center going towards Portola Parkway you will see a OC Sheriff on a motor bike hiding on a driveway. This is a speed trap that is making lots of money for the state of California. Drivers “beware”.
Corner of Calla Alcala and Los Alisos
Officer on a motorbike is parked on the corner of Calle Alcala and Los Alisos. He is stopping anyone in a 45mph zone.
Jeronimo going north before Ridge Route
This is the only major street where the speed limit drops to 35 MPH. A motorcycle cop sits under a tree several days a week. Even in front of the Jr. High and High school the speed limit is 40 MPH. A definite trap.
El Toro & Rockfield – Gas Stations
Motorcycle cops (working in pairs?) sit in front of gas stations on opposite corners of intersection watching for yellow-light runners.
Muirlands and Lake Forest
Large motorcycle cop likes to hide out in front of the Self-Storage facility on Muirlands to catch speeders and people making a left turn into the Lake Forest Town Center. I see him there around lunch time almost every day!
