PA state police operated a GHS2589 stationary radar device tested at station R-8 within 30 days of citation. This offence was on a Sunday afternoon. Officer states road is a 40 MPH, sign says 45, and you can safely go up to 60 without causing undo harm to yourself or others. Traveling westbound, state trooper from a concealed and unknown location used his radar device completely hidden from view. From out of nowhere he came out and made the stop approx 1/2 mile from the speed trap. Local magistrate office is in Oley PA.
Hartz Road near Between Rt. 73 & Walnuttown Rd.
PA State Police radar sits between Rt 73 and Walnuttown Rd. to enforce 35mph on this country road. Road is used to bypass traffic backups at intersection Rt 12 & Rt 73. Enforcement higher during rush hours and Saturdays.
