State Route US 19 near Overpass

Warrendale, PennsylvaniaApr 07, 20080 Comments

This is mainly if you are heading towards warrendale from wexford on 19. You will pass the 7-11 which is on the right. Not even a quarter of a mile in front of you, there is an overpass which is I-79. Practically right under the overpass on the right hand side, there is a cut out of land with an asphalt spot where a cop generally sits. They back their car up far enough to where you cant see until you almost going by him. If you are going towards wexford from warrendale on 19, you shouldn’t worry too much about them getting you becuz there is a concrete wall barrier which basically means he cant cross over and get you but that doesnt mean he wont try and call ahead to another unit farther down the road and telling them to look out for you.

State Route 19 N near Warrendale-Bayne Road

Warrendale, PennsylvaniaJul 10, 20040 Comments

Lately, I’ve been seeing people pulled over quite frequently on Route 19, northbound, usually underneath the Turnpike/I-79 overpasses. A sneaky Pine-Marshall-Bradford Woods Police Deparment undermarked unit (dark green Crown Vic) sits near a building just beyond the intersection of Rte 19 & Warrendale-Bayne Road and watches the light and VASCAR lines. Normally, he is there during lunch hours and if you run the light or fly through at a high rate of speed, he will serve up his own, very expensive lunch special. Ala speeding ticket. I wouldn’t doubt him being present other times of day as well. There are a few different sets of VASCAR lines between Warrendale-Bayne and Thorn Hill Road that have perfect cutouts nearby for them to hide in. Be careful on this stretch of road.
