Township Line Road Between Big Oak & Langhorne-Yardley Roads

Yardley, PennsylvaniaApr 06, 20140 Comments

When you turn off of Oxford Valley Road onto Big Oak Road, the speed limit is 45 mph. However once you cross the train tracks onto Township Line Road, the speed limit drops to 35 mph until it intersects with Langhorne-Yardley Road, at which point the speed limit becomes 45 mph again. Lower Makefield police like to sit on their side of the road (going North), usually right over the crest of the hill near Brookstone and pull people over as they’re coming downhill. The activity really ramps up in Spring and Summer. By mid summer it’s not uncommon to see 2 or 3 squad cars sitting on the Lower Makefield side of the road just funneling people through. Never seen Middletown PD doing the same going the opposite direction though.
