NOTE: It is not always there….
Harwood Boulevard near Raoul-Blais Street
Coming off 401 /20 highway from Toronto to Montreal, speed limit falls from 100Km to 50Km
State Route 342 near Autoroute 20 Westbound
The speed limit is 50 km/h as it is an urban boulevard, and then it changes to 100 km/h maximum and 60 km/h minimum (not a typo) about 300 m after the intersection with Route 342. They can be anywhere from Avenue Ranger (where the McDonalds is) until the 100 km/h sign, on one occasion they were right besides that sign and were ticketing starting at 60 km/h! Enforcement is semi-frequent and can happen literally anytime. There used to be a speed trap going East in that area, but it appears to no longer be in operation, they gave so many tickets over the last 10-15 years that no-one except the odd non-local driver goes over the limit there.
40 Expressway near Exit Number 35
Going with the traffic, radar may be pointing eastbound in the morning, westbound late PM. The westbound part is the most deadly one as you’re coming off the bridge at 120km/h (go with the flow speed) and the cop will enforce as low as 110km/h
St. Charles North of Highway 40 Avenue near The Future Building and Ultramar Gas Station
Hides behind vegetation and in Business parking lots and catches you in the curve before you even have a chance to spot him.
