Bypass this town and spend any money you might spend at their convenience stores, gas stations, etc. passing through Abbeville elsewhere.

Abbeville City constantly patrols Hwy 72 from the City Limits to City limits. They do not care if it is 3 mph too fast, your getting stopped and searched. They love to get you out and check the cars for open beer, roach in the tray ect. ect. Be Carefull in this 4 mile strip.

This is undoubtably one of the nations worse speed traps. There is ALWAYS at least one highway patrol vehicle patrolling this 5 mile road. To make matters worse, these highway patrol officers are rude and would like nothing better than the opportunity to throw you on the ground and put a gun to your head…even if you are an 80 year old grandmother! I’m not kidding, be careful!
