Aynor, South Carolina Speed Traps

Undercover cop hides behind road signs on top of Hwy. 22 overpass shooting a radar at your back windshield, then radios to other cops a little further down on Hwy. 501. On Hwy. 501, before this intersection, the speed limit is 60 mph. On top of the hill, right before the intersection, it drops to 55 mph while going downhill. After passing under the next overpass, the speed limit goes back up to 60 mph. There is a little church on the right where the speed limit returns to 60 mph. This is where the other cops sit to pull you over.

Cop sits on the side of highway or at intersections and just waits for people

On 10/15/05 and on 10/16/05, the city police agency in this small town was sitting 1.6 miles outside of the posted city limit running radar. Coming from Florence heading eastbound or westbound if you were heading from Aynor heading towards Florence. I am sure many out of state cars got caught by this police agency trying to drive up revenue for their city. It seems that such an act is unlawful since they were sitting outside of their city limits. Regardless of whether it is or not, be on the watch for these cowards. They must be desperate for income.
