the speed limit changes like 5 times in 2 miles. rural areas no towns just
townships with cops who set and wait at the speed limit signs when you enter a 45 mph zone from a 55mph zone you would have to apply brakes
to slow down and still this probably would not be quick enough for them
not to pull you over. Its been a speed trap there for the 7 yrs. I have lived at the beach here. 5 people in my immediate family have gotten tickets. even the aarp tells traverlers not to take this route, go hwy. 9 to 31 to 501 or 17

You try to merge safely into hwy 301 the road curves to the right, you look over your left shoulder to merge, you don’t see the 25mph sign on your right in the middle of the curve, Bam! The ‘Man’ has got you. He will be waiting in the parking of the pizza joint or old oil company just left especially early morning and late afternoon/evening. The sad part is that the speed zone increases back to 35mph just before the school zone. Don’t feel bad, your fines help boost the economy.

Latta officers sit in front of the old Dilmar Oil office directly in front of the Latta Motel at all times of the day running radar to entrap tourists as well as locals. The speed limit drops from 35 mph to 25 mph at this point. MOTORISTS BEWARE!

Speed limit in town is posted at 45 mph, however at some unknown point an "intersection" will become (According to the police officer) 25mph no remarkable posting. Fine will be $150.00. Targets is seems out of state drivers.
