Lynchburg, South Carolina Speed Traps

They sit where the speed limit changes from 55 to 35 on Hwy 76 . I was stopped one day and knew he was sitting there so I was going 35 . He pulled me over and said he clocked me at 51 MPH. I told him he was crazy and that I saw him and knew he was there and why would I speed . I was pulling a small enclosed trailer and he proceeded to tell me how pulling a trailer would effect my speedometer and make it not register the correct speed . How stupid can that be. I was amazed he even said that and more amazed that he really believed it and tried to convince me of it . I did not get a ticked that day because I stood my ground with him , but it seems all they have to do in this town is write speeding tickets . I’m through there all the time because my daughter lives there.

Lynchburg Police are notorious for writing lots of tickets. The speed limit drops from 55 to 35 and the co is always itting near an old church on the left hand side of Highway 76. The town is broke so they need the money. Watch Out!!!
