McClellanville SC, On Rt 17 South
@1/4 mile North of the blinking light on the right side is where the police like to sit in a recessed area. It is posted 50mph. It is 60 mph prior to entering the town. The road curves to the right so you don’t see them until you have gone into the curve.
Had cruise control on and didn’t take it off until it was too late. The warning posted speed limit is @ 1 mile before it drops to 50.
They monitor both directions from this location.

State Highway 17 near North Pinckney St. Street
This location is about half-way between Charleston and Georgetown, SC on the main route to/from Florida (other than 95). Police car partially hidden (going from North to South) around curve in the road. I was just informed by an officer two days ago that they average almost 300 citations a week at this site.
