Marysville PD patrol car will on the south side gravel turnout near some trees or bushes and will point radar at cars coming over the bridge.
On the west bound side of the road a ways before the bridge there is a sign that says 35 mile Speed ahead and just shortly afterwords a Speed limit 35 sign which there is no time to slow down from 55mph without quickly using the brake.
Most people ignore the sign so they get caught at bridge.

Right after the first hill, there is a gated driveway that goes out into the field. Hwy patrol car sits there. Hard to see until you are right on top of him due to the tall weeds and the hill.

12th Street near Swezy Street

Police sit behind old abandoned building. They seem to be targeting young drivers. As you go down 12th Street, it does not turn back into Hwy 20 until after the Word of Life Church. Swezy is the first Street after the Stop light at Ramirez. The police are saying that the drivers are going 52 miles an hour after being at a complete stop at Ramirez. I personally know 3 young drivers that have been ticketed and one older driver who was stopped and let go. All 3 tickets said they were going 52 miles an hour at Swezy and 12th.

State Highway 99

Marysville, CaliforniaAug 07, 20073 Comments

Coming into Marysville northbound, Hwy. 99 passes over a rise just past a legal passing lane. If you have passed slower traffic (likely, due to large numbers of slow-moving big-rigs), by the time you get to the bottom of the rise and the end of the passing lane, you may still be at passing speed, slightly over the limit. This is where the cops are waiting. They seem to have a radio-relay set up, as there may be a visible CHP, but you get pulled over by a sheriff’s car which was nowhere in sight. Fight this ticket…radio-relay is hearsay!
