US-441/SR-71 (Norris Fy) at West Norris Rd.
Norris PD or the Anderson County Sherrif Dept. will occaisionally monitor the dogleg intersection of Norris Fy, West Norris Rd, and Alley Rd, poised to stop NB and SB traffic. About one mile north and south of West Norris/Alley Road. The speed limit drops from 55mph to 35mph. NOTE to out-of-towners. Norris Freeway is not what many people think of as a Freeway. It is winding, dangerous, two-lane country road between Halls’ Crossroads and Lake City. There have been many speed-related fatal wrecks since the road opened in 1933.
