Tn-13 north out of waynesboro (near us-64 overpass)

Waynesboro, TennesseeJun 28, 20130 Comments

there are no signs of the speed limit for a while (but on the other side of the road there are signs as you come into town). you pass a leaving waynesboro sign. about a mile later, after the overpass and with no other driveways, houses or businesses, you find a police officer sitting around a curve below the overpass who tells us that the speed limit is 30mph. we got pulled over, drove back to see the signage and there was another guy pulled over within 2 minutes. beware.

64 West going into the town of Waynesboro tn.

My daughter was having problems with her car. She lives in Nashville. We decided to meet her in Pulaski to exchange vehicles so we could get her car
fixed. When my husband went to meet her, he went through Waynesboro and got pulled over by the city police. After my daughter car was fixed I met her in Pulaski. While on my way back home. I My husband warned me about Waynesboro so I was being very cautious when I entered town. I was going West on 64 When I was going down the hill into Waynesboro with another vehicle that passed me. There was a police at the bottom of the hill. I was shocked that I was pulled over and not the other vehicle that was speeding. I had no idea the reason I was getting pulled over. I asked the police officer why he pulled me over and he said I was speeding doing 57 in a 40. He gave me a ticket for $148.75. I am still in shock. I will be going to court to defend this because I have a clean driving record and was not speeding. This is so unfair.

Hwy 64 coming out of Hardin County going east

Once you leave Hardin County beware of State Police patroling Hwy 64 all the way to Lawrence County. I got a ticket, showed up for court and it was packed. All traffic tickets. Pay attention going through Waynesboro. Its a 30 mph speed limit at the only light in town on Hwy 64.

US Highway 64 near State Highway 64

Coming off the hill into Waynesboro traveling West on US 64 from Lawrenceburg the speed limit drops from 55 to 35 in less than .5 mile. You are rounding a curve and there are very little or no drive entrances and not much time to slow up. Got a ticket and paid it where I would not have to go to court. The county messed up and did not even recognize that the ticket was paid and I had to make several long distance calls in order to clear the matter. They were threatening to cancell my Tennessee licenses if the ticket was not paid. I was holding the cashier’s check receipt where the ticket was paid. Had to fax a copy for them to really believe me.
