US Highway 69 near State Highway 21   Alto, Texas

Alto has a very small police department and the town is very poor and poorly run. The police have convinced the city fathers to move the city limits 2 miles north and south of the actual municipality in order to "enhance"" speed limit enforcement and fine collection."

US Highway 69 near State Highway 21   Alto, Texas

55 limit extends far south of Alto, where the stop sign marks TX21 at US69. Appearances suggest you are well outside the city limits. The local hides out of sight just north of the 70 mph sign. Southbound traffic is clocked well before they see him or the sign.

Highway 69 at FM 1911   Alto, Texas

Officer will hide behind trees off of Hwy 69 just pass FM1911. South bound traffic on Hwy 69 will never see this officer. North bound traffic will see him but it will be too late. Keep a look out!
