North on I 35W, right after speed drop

Alvarado, TexasSep 10, 20200 Comments

I-35 is 75 almost everywhere, there is a sign that drops it to 70 right before Alvarado, they sit right over the hill, I really think they had a car in traffic helping by driving really slow in the left lane. I had this feeling when I passed him and then something the cop said and did.

Hwy 67 west of I-35, 1st mile, new cops with new cars.

45 mph coming off the S exit. Cops circling area of 1 1/2 miles. Goes to 60 mph then. 45 mph sign is when you are looking the other way to merge on to 67. Definitely a trap. Same day Keene cops doing the same thing for 1 mile in front of Keene High School. This is a 4 lane divided highway.

Speed goes from 65 to 55 in a short time. Cop sits in parking lot at the 55 mph sign. Shoots with lidar as your bumper crosses. My advice, slam on brakes as soon as you see the reduced speed ahead sign. You can’t slow down in time by lifting your foot off the gas and coasting down to 55. You need to brake. Good luck.

Northbound I-35W Grandview + 6 minutes north

White Crown Vic on your right hand along the northbound interstate I-35W. The grass embankment between feeder and interstate is smooth enough to allow a robust car like the vic, to enter from the hillside perpendicular to the interstate. The spot is about 7 miles north of Grandview and some 3.8 miles before reaching the I-35W x Hwy 67 junction at Alvarado.

Patrol cars sit just beyond crests of hills on I-35, and when traffic comes over the rise it’s hit with the radar gun. Out of state cars are singled out, even when going with the mostly Texas tagged”flow.”””
