Hwy 35 going east into Angleton from West Columbia   Angleton, Texas

This area is the biggest drop in speed, 60 to 45 mph, in the shortest time of any entrance into the city, about 100 yards. You're coming into town and see the 288 bridge ahead so you are going to slow down anyway. At the median by the Buckey's Store a police cruiser waits to fill the city's coffers.

US Highway 288 near Airport Crossing   Angleton, Texas

Just after the car dealerships (going Northbound on 288)there is a club/saloon and a World in Need building on the right. At the crossroad immediately after there is always a Hwy Patrol in a Black pickup truck sitting with his parking lights on in the center. Usually between 5:00am and 9am, mostly when it is totally still dark outside.
