Cops sit on side of road radaring as you come down hill. Old Justin Road goes from 40 mph speed limit to 30 mph speed limit for no reason.

Hickory Hill Rd between FM 1830 and HWY 377

Argyle, TexasFeb 01, 20130 Comments

A very sparsely traveled two lane road. 30 mph. No neighborhood or school nearby. Obviously no safety concern here. Cop sits behind trees just past a curve in the road.

Corner or Crawford Road and John Paine Road

Argyle, TexasAug 26, 20110 Comments

Cop sits behind the trees and brush and will clock you coming down the hill on Crawford. The hill is very steep and you must ride your brakes to avoid going over 30. They will often stand outside of the car with just the radar gun and pull you over on foot on John Paine road pulling out of the Country Lakes subdivision.

Hwy 377 Between Denton St and Old Justin Rd

Argyle, TexasMar 18, 20111 Comments

Police from Krum and Justin set up cars on both sides of the street with lights running. This isn’t a speed trap because both police vehicles are obvious and everyone slows down. (Posted speed limit is 50 MPH.) This is a STICKER trap. The police are looking for expired registration and inspection stickers. There are arrays of lights near both cars so this trap is also run after dark. If your stickers are not current avoid this area. (And update your registration and inspection!)
