Access Road of I 410 East Bound close to Cherry Ridge   Balcones Heights, Texas

As you exit the ramp from 410 East Bound, on the access road to Cherry Ridge, a San Antonio Police Unit sits running radar where the two access roads meet, coming from IH 10 W and 410 East. The speed limit is 45 but it's not mark until you're close to the radar unit, by that time, it's too late.

I-10 access road Road near Interstate I - 10 E & Crossroads   Balcones Heights, Texas

As you exit from the Crossroads exit of I-10E an unmarked police car sits off the access road. It can't be seen as you exit as a highway column blocks your view. The access road speed limit sign is posted right in front of the unmarked car. The officer clocks your speed as you car enters the access road from the ramp. If you are above 40 mph you are pulled over and ticketed. I got my very first ticket there in 44 years of driving. The officer even admitted to me that I was slowing, but since I was above 40 when I entered the access road he had to ticket me.
Since I drive this route every morning, I have noticed him either sitting there or ticketing someone nearly every day.

Hillcrest Drive near Crossroads Mall   Balcones Heights, Texas

If you are traveling south on Hillcrest from Fredericksburg Rd, the road dips down and it is posted 30 mph. The stickler is this...it is a school zone in the AM/PM but the school zone sign isn't visible until you are in the middle of the school zone change. I got a ticket for speeding next door to the Balcones Heights PD at Hillcrest and Gentle Man from an officer sitting in the parking lot of his office. He told me the school zone is in effect for all of Hillcrest, btwn Fredsbg rd and Babcock. I called the court to confirm this and they said "It's true. Pay up."" Be warned. The big giant building at Hillcrest and Gentle Man is the police dept and officers are now standing in front of the buildng clocking people at night when you can't see them. Hillcrest is a definite trap (poor signage and speed limit notices.)"

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
