Valley Mills Drive near Plant Nursery at the bottom of the hill

Beverly Hills, TexasSep 05, 20080 Comments

Come over the steep, steep hill from Waco to Beverly hills and even a Radar/Lidar detector won’t help you. Crest the hill and Bam, your toast. Beverly Hills PD is sitting in the Plant Nursery parking lot, they love this spot when they are bored. 24hrs/7days, its pot luck, but regular.

Beverly Hills PD will be parked at the snowcone place shooting Lidar towards the VA Hospital. They are invisible until it is too late. Count on them being there between 7am and 9am. This is a school zone. Penalties are severe, mercy ends at 2 mph over the 20 mph limit.

Beverly Hills, TX is a town of approx. 2500 citizens. However, since it sits right in the middle of Waco, they can make many stops on the main through-road, Valley Mills. Be careful once the sun goes down especially. Cops normally sit in parking lots of crowded businesses to hide their cars better, if you’re looking closely you can almost always see them sticking out though. They will pull you over for just a few mph over the posted speed limit of 40.

They sit across from the VA hosp. and wait for anyone driving alone to stop and ticket. Have been known to ticket people claiming they ran stop signs when they were siting beside building and were unable to see approching car till it was half a block past corner in question.

I think these guys get a lot of speed enforcement devices on demo/loan. One month it might be radar….next month laser. While on loan though they milk it for all it’s worth. Be especially careful on the down hill run from Waco into Beaverly Hills and do not go even a breath over 40 mph or your toast. Also do proper lane changes and signaling as they will nail you for that too. Patrols will park in any of the business parking lots along S Valley Mills and start fishing ( Especially Autozone).
