FM 78 through Cibolo proper

Cibolo, TexasMar 29, 20102 Comments

From Schertz, going towards Marion, the speed limit goes from 45 to 50 to 55 and then 65. The 50 mph zone curves on the outskirts of Cibolo proper and seems as though many people get stopped along there. The police tend to hide behind bushes close to where the activity field is located on the east side of Cibolo.

FM 1103 in Schertz and Cibolo, TX. The entire length of 1103 is a speed trap. There has been construction and the speed limit was 45 as posted by the construction company and gleefully enforced by the Cibolo PD.There is a section where construction is completed and is posted at 55 mph. I got pulled over and the Cicolo officer explained that one lane (heading toward Cibolo) is 55mph, but the other lane is 50 mph because the state has not posted the other side.

FM 78 near Main Street

Cibolo police patrol Farm-to-Market 78 which runs between San Antonio and Seguin. It’s the major thoroughfare that leads to Randolph Air Force Base. The speed limit drops from 65 mph to 50 mph in the Cibolo City limit. Also, Cibolo’s Main Street is heavily patrolled, especially during school zones. A police vehicle is parked across a side street, and any motorists who exceed 20 mph will be ticketed. The Cibolo municipal court has a zero tolerance policy. Add $25 for any citations issued in the school zone.
