US Highway 287 near Mile Marker 170   Clarendon, Texas

After Christmas holiday (12/26/04) traffic speed trap...two state police cruisers and a state police pickup truck working both sides of the highway. I was driving 75 mph along with the traffic (70 mph limit), decided to pass a car in the lefthand lane on a decline of the hwy, radar clocked me at 79 mph and I will have to pay for defensive driving and still owe $95 to the judge! Normal ticket price is $140 with a bad mark on your driving record. First time speeding ticket,I found out the hard way. jCostly mistake, others beware.

Highway 287 twenty miles or so either direction of Clarendon   Clarendon, Texas

DPS Troopers running radar. Don't get burned because the fine s are a major source of revenue in this rural area. Deferred Adjudication costs three times the normal fine. Clarendon is between Wichita Falls and Amarillo on Highway 287 about fifty miles east of Amarillo. Be particularly careful about dusk.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
