State Highway 36 near State Highway 84   Gatesville, Texas

The entire City of Gatesville is monitored by the City of Gatesville Police Department so watch out. This city is well known for writting tickets ranging from 8 miles over the posted speed limit and up. It is department policy to write tickets to help the funding of new equiptment. This policy was enacted by the newly appointed chief of police and his new sergeant and Lt. Gatesville is also known for tacking on a few miles to bump up thier ticket fines. The good officers left the department approximately 1.5 years ago and have been replaced rouge cops whom punish the community with collateral fines

US Highway 84 and US Highway 36   Gatesville, Texas

Anytime of day, people will receive a ticket for any violation, not just speeding. New Chief of Police, 130 to 145 tickets issued in one month by one officer. Other vioaltions include seat belts and window tint. Us Highway 36 loops around Gatesville this area is high contact area, as well as the Main street and school zones.
