I30 Between Royce City and Greenville   Greenville, Texas

The previous message is no lie! I have gotten pulled over twice in this area exiting to go into Greenville. One incident the Highway patrol was in front of me at least 3 cars and he pulled aside waited for me to pass then pulled me over just to tell me that I merged in a unsafe manner and that it caused the vehicle behind me to have to hit his breaks in a unsafe manner. I was shocked to hear that one!

Johnson St. & Picket (Downtown Greenville)   Greenville, Texas

City police sit in the Smoke House parking lot waiting for a victim to come over The Audie Murphy overpass, speed limit is 30 MPH, but coming down backside of this bridge, your vehical and gravity cause you to increase speed. You will have trouble seeing the trap as a tree by the Smokehouse hides the patrol car.

Lee St. & Wright St.   Greenville, Texas

This one is a great place to get caught! This is where Lee St changes to a one way and you have to turn right onto Wright St. The patrol car (sometimes Officer on his motorcycle) are hiding behind the old Texaco station, as you turn you can't see them but they'll see you! Don't get distracted by the old Train Station & the must turn right, you will get caught in the trap!

State Highway 34 near FM 1570   Greenville, Texas

Greenville Police and Texas DPS frequently sit in the shoulder or the parking lot of the car wash waiting for speeders. The speed limit used to be 50 until 2.5 years ago, but local businesses wanted people to slow down in order to notice the businesses (go dig through the Herald Banner if you want proof). Because these mostly rundown businesses want you to notice them, many people have been forced to pay fines to drive a speed that was perfectly acceptable for decades.

Interstate 30   Greenville, Texas

This is the biggest speedtrap I've seen in Texas. DPS cops continually patrol this strech of I-30 between Greeville and Rockwall. My wife received two tickets in a year's time on this stretch of highway. This is a high enforcement area, my advice is to be very cautious through here.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
