IH 35 Northbound near exit 386

The radar car sits right at the curve in the highway. Traffic slows for the curve, speed limit 75. If you are in a bit of a hurry, as I was, and move out to the passing lane to get around the slower traffic you get in the sights of the radar car before you can see it. I was given a ticket for 83 in a 75, a blistering 8 miles over the limit. Got the Evelyn Wood speed version of the traffic stop so the conscientious officer could get back in position for another cheap shot traffic stop.

If you are traveling into Hillsboro from the north, the speed limit drops from 70 then to 55 then to 40. The speed limit drops to 40 in valley and many times the popo is sitting on the shoulder of the road over the hill and you can’t see them.

Interstate IH35 near Exit Number Near Exit 364

The HPD will hide behind the end section of a bridge so they are not in your line of site. This is located approx. 1/2 mile before the Dallas/Fort Worth Junction, before a construction zone. Speed limit is 70. Officer will state that you were clocked while in construction zone with workers present. While infact, you were radared before entering the actual zone. This is done to double ticket fines. They have no problem issuing tickets for going over 1 mile.
