St Stephens dr at Via Floreado and El Nido   Orinda, California

Cops will "perch" on Via Floreado and the next road down (El Nido) to monitor traffic on this throughofare. They will claim you failed to stop completely at the sign. If you have an Orinda/Lafayette address their first question will be if this is your "residence" address. They want to know who they are dealing with and if you don't live there you will almost certainly get a ticket.

State Highway 24 near Exit Number Gateway   Orinda, California

Police often position themselves on the 24 onramp (at Gateway) with their lights off. If you are an Orinda resident they are very reasonable, otherwise, tread lightly!

Rheem Boulevard near Glorietta Boulevard   Orinda, California

Rheem Blvd, near Glorietta Blvd, is in Orinda. The speed limit is lower here than further up on the Moraga end of Rheem Blvd. The Orinda PD takes unfair advantage of this; the Moraga PD doesn't monitor as frequently and tend to be out in the open. In my case, the officer admitted to being in someone's driveway when asked where he was. I was cited for 5 miles over limit, as ascertained by radar. Officer also asked where I was going. My daughter and one of her friends were cited in this same spot.
