I-35W near mile marker 7 (north and south bound)   Itasca, Texas

They hide out of site in the bushes or behind bridges and zap you with laser radar. They do NOT give warnings, and give tickets for only a few MPH over the limit. This is pure revenue generation, at it's worst!! Itasca, TX: one of the speedtrap capitals of Texas. Watch out, as you drive up or down I-35W near Itasca, because these JOKES of law enforcement officers WILL give you an expensive ticket for going a couple of miles per hour over the speed limit. They rake in over $4 million per year with these tickets, but only pay their full-time ticket officers $27,000 per year...but, then again, I guess they are no better than a parking ticket officer, anyway. They need to spend their time patrolling their own city streets, instead of hiding in the bushes along I-35, to ambush good citizens who accidentally go over the limit by a few MPH.

At I-35w mile marker 7   Itasca, Texas

There are two FM bridges that cross over this area at I-35w, allegedly the first going north bound has the camera. The officer sits in-between these two FM bridges and waits for the command to pursue the trafficker that is going North. And opposite of that FM bridge going South.

FM 934/ FM 66 limit of city of Itasca   Itasca, Texas

Any and all activity in the area ticketed, including especially: speeding, improper lane change (judgement call of course, includes proper changes caused by heavy braking by vehicles traveling immediately in front viewing parked policing vehicle), out of state vehicles, improperly loaded vehicles. This location is the most heavily concentrated 5 mile area trap along all of I-35 starting from Fort Worth until North Austin. The overdue collection office uses heavy handed rude tactics in a completely unprofessional manner, and claims to be a separate entity from the police department. This should be highlighted by a special star on the map of TX for Interstate speed traps. This information has been confirmed over a 5 year period from 2005 to 2010

Hwy 81 coming into town and leaving town from Hillsboro.   Itasca, Texas

When coming into town the speed is 55MPH for a bit then it drops to 45 then 30. If you are even going 35 mph in the 30 mph zone, while slowing down, you'll get pulled over. Also, going out of town on 81 the speed is 55 then goes to 70. Do NOT get anywhere over 55 til you get to the 70 MPH sign or you will get a ticket. Not even going to 60, you will get a ticket! Crazy... I was told the 70 MPH does not start until I get right to the sign! Didn't know that. Thought driving was a fluid movement.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
