Jersey Village, Texas Speed Traps
Rio Grande St leading up to Jersey Dr
2 patrol cars in the school parking lot, as soon as you go around the curve on Rio Grande St heading to the stop sign at Jersey Dr. They are monitoring both directions, will get you at barely 5mph over the limit.
Intersection of Jones Rd. and Charles Rd. Median
Newly added section of Jones Rd. between Hwy. 290 and FM529, 1 or 2 officers in motorcycles (sometimes a white suburban) stands in the median measuring early morning. This is a low traffic 2-lane avenue, with 35 MPH speed limit that invites for more than that.
Cops invisible due to the curve until is too late.
There’s no cross-traffic, school zone or else, this trap is designed just to bring revenue to the City of Jersey Villains (oops, I meant Village)
Senate Ave. and US-290
There is an Automated Red Light camera at this intersection.
Rodney Ray Blvd. and Waynemer Way
The northward road from this 4-way dead ends in 500 feet or so and has no driveways or streets, only fences.
A cop likes to park far enough back that you cannot see him for the fence until you are at the stop sign. He will get you for crossing the stop line!
He is there most mornings and evenings.
