Hwy 77 from Sarita to Robstown

Kingsville, TexasOct 25, 20130 Comments

Anyone who lives in the RGV and travels north on Hwy 77 to Corpus or elsewhere knows there are a plethora of speed traps on this route in every single town along the way. I travel from Los Fresnos (another speed trap town) to San Antonio 2 – 3 times a month on weekends. What I definitely know is this: Cops are mainly targeting weekend southbound travelers Fri – Sat and then shifting their focus to northbound travelers on Sun. If you travel in these directions on the days I’ve specified, then beware.

It’s not really a trap, but speed limit does change there going into Kingsville and there is a DPS officer there writing lots of tickets on and off all hours of the day. Truckers beware, they like you!!!Just a word of warning Kingsville police and DPS will get ya there!!

Kingsville Police patrol this area quite frequently enforcing the ridiculous 30 mph limit.
