At WestLake Houston Blvd. and San Jacinto bridge.   Kingwood, Texas

When you are driving on Westlake Houston Blvd. from Atascosita, going northbound and cross the San Jacinto River, the speed limit is STILL 40 mph like it was on the bridge. Of course, nobody was doing 40 mph on the bridge. The police will almost always be on the left or right side (before Wells Fargo Bnk.) waiting.

North Park Boulevard near Interstate Hwy 59 North   Kingwood, Texas

Montgomery County Sheriffs Department sets on North Park, (just the other side of the county line) and tickets people coming out of Kingwood in the early morning hours. They are generally there towards the end of the month. They also work the North Park section on the west side of Hwy 59 going into the new Oakwood subdivision.

US Highway 59 near Townsend Rd. Crossing   Kingwood, Texas

As you exit north bound immediately after Townsend Rd (most likley the Kingwood exit) along the feeder road, there is a dip that goes under an over-pass, the combination of the dip and over-pass blocks line of sight to the cop's postion; most drivers are trapped as they enter the dip at a higher speed than posted for the exit ramp and then the much lower speed limit for the feeder road.

West Lake Houston Parkway near FM 1960   Kingwood, Texas

The officers like to sit in the crossover median as traffic tops the bridge heading north on West Lake Houston Parkway which goes into Kingwood . I've observed them mostly in the afternoon and in the late evenings. At one point, I've observed them doing a tag team radar trap where two of them will work the same spot and catch drivers time and time again.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
