Baptist Church from 1886 getting onto 199 Lakeside, Texas

It doesn't happen that often but I've seen it at least twice. The police sit in the church's parking lot next to the north wall. You can't see them until you are next to the parking lot. By then it's too late.

FM 1886 near State Highway 199 Lakeside, Texas

Lakeside area on 1886 (Confederate Park) is heavily monitored from the stop signs at the four-way where it intersects with 199 (Jacksboro Hwy) all the way to the Citgo past winery.

State Highway 1886 near Silver Creek Road Lakeside, Texas

Where Silver Creek intersects with 1886 (Confederate Park) in Lakeside. Often during rush times (a.m. and p.m.) patrol car sits on north side of the road facing the intersection and catches people speeding over the hill either way or anyone running the stop sign.

Whiteline patrol, turn signals, stop signs, speeding, you name it - they give tickets for everything.

State Highway 199 and Confederate Parkway Lakeside, Texas

All along Confederate Highway, on 199 there is a 40 MPH speed limit just prior to highway 199. hide down at bottom of hill just before the entrance ramp to the highway and nail you as you are speeding up to enter the 60 mph highway. Will stop you for as little as 1 mph over speed. Heaven help you if you have
a trailer any where in Lakeside. Very small town. If they had an officer named Barney Fife it would be Mayberry. No commercial tax to speak of, main source of revenue is water, tax, and tickets.
