Lohmanns Crossing/Hurst Creek Rd

Lakeway, TexasMar 04, 20121 Comments

At the intersection of Lohmanns Crossing/Hurst Creek Rd, there is a 4-way stop sign. The Lakeway police hide in the corner away from view waiting for people to ‘run’ the stop signs, but will ticket you if you don’t come to a ‘full’ stop. A full stop being their judgement call, whether you feel like your wheels weren’t moving or not. This is the biggest rip-off in Lakeway. I wonder how many residents (or non-residents) have been ticketed here and how many of those are from a specific Lakeway cop?

Entire Village

This little burg is something else. Is a small elite suburb of Austin and there is no crime. The only purpose of the Police Dept is revenue generation and they do it quite well. Lots of speed limit changes in a place that already has heavily enforced 30mph speed limites, even on boulevards with medians. They will change speed limits from 30 to 15 right before blind curves. Lakeway cops have attitudes and they love their job.

Lohman’s Crossing Road within the City of Lakeway

After crossing Lakeway Blvd on Lohman’s Crossing at the fire station there is a steep hill that will cause your car to accelerate above the 30mph speed limit and before you can brake to adjust for the hill’s gravity pull the police will be watching for this and ticket offenders.

Lakeway Boulevard near Lohmans Crossing

4 Lane Blvd thru Lakeway Subdivision, heavy enforcement 6 am to 10 pm with some enforcement 24/7. Bad attitude, hiding around the bottom of the hills and writing tickets 4 or 5 mph above the 30 mph limit.
