Hwy 29, west of 183   Liberty Hill, Texas

The entrance to the concrete facility has a high wall, just enough to hide a cruiser.

On Hwy. 29 east of Hwy. 183   Liberty Hill, Texas

There is a skateboard facility on the south side of 29 just past Margarita's restaurant on the north. A patrol car routinely sits in the parking lot of this facility with its radar pointing west. It's hard to see the patrol car if you are focusing on the road. You have to be looking directly at the skateboard facility parking lot to see it.

State Highway 29 near County Trunk CR 200   Liberty Hill, Texas

the posted speed limit for SH29 all the way through Liberty Hill is 55mph. Local law enforcement will ticket you for 56mph. i know because i got one. the trap is most prevalent when entering Liberty Hill from the west. the speed limit sign that designates where the 55 mph zone begins is almost completely obstructed from view by some large tree branches and scrub. there is an old cemetary about 100 yards past that on the south side where law enforcement waits. this is where they got me. my advice is to pay close attention to the speed limits anywhere in Liberty Hill.

County Trunk 279 near Spivey Road   Liberty Hill, Texas

County Road 279, also known as Bagdad Road, which runs N-S between Leander and Liberty Hill. The speed limit is 45, probably because of a few driveways on this stretch of roadway. The same type of road,FM 1869, which is a crossroad of CR 279, the speed limit is 60. There are also driveways on 1869. I always see Troopers and Sheriff Dept. vehicles checking radar on 279. I drive a school bus on this road every day. The speed limit of 45 is too low on this road.

County Trunk 200 near State Highway 29   Liberty Hill, Texas

CR 200 is a 6 mile straight shot North from SH 29. This road was all potholes, bumpy and narrow for the past 20 years at least. The locals would drive around 70 MPH on CR200, which is extremely too fast. In 2003 it was paved, widened, and a left turn lane was added at CR 201. After repairing the road the speed limit was dropped to 40 MPH. It is difficult, even for me in a little Toyota Carolla, to drive the 40 MPH speed. It is dangerous because you're always looking at your speedometer and tapping the brake. Then you have people speeding past you at dangerous speeds when the whole County road is a no passing zone. South of SH 29 on CR 200 the speed limit is 50 MPH! This is where there is a daycare and it is a residential street. There is also an Elementary School on this stretch of road. The speed limit goes from 50 to 40 to 30 in a 1/2 mile stretch before getting to the intersection of Loop 332 (the south section of 200 just south of 29)and 1869 where there is a stop sign. What I don't understand is why is the speed limit on CR 214 45 MPH?(the next county road east of 200). This is the exact same type of raod that 200 is. It should be at least 50 MPH. Also, CR 200 and CR 214 is not residential. It's all ranch land.
