Hwy 380

Truckers beware! 60 mile per hour speed limits. Stop lights with short-duration yellows. If you don’t brake hard to stop, you will be ticketed $220. Watch out for motorcycle officers.

Requires at least 2 appearances to defend yourself, or pay the "fees" equivalent to the ticket amount to receive deferred disposition. Clearly a big revenue generator for this town.

White and Hardin Exiting Cockeral middle School

Here you have all kinds of flashing Lights entering the School. Leaving the School there is no Sign, no Lights, no Nothing. A Cop is generally parked in the South bound lane perpendicular to the School, Waiting on you to pull out , Hoping you forget. I would be willing to bet that 90% of the tickets here are exiting the school. Sure doe’s allot for the safety of the kids doesn’t it!

Hwy 380 Going West Right before you get to Hwy 289

Mckinney, TexasJul 05, 20120 Comments

This is a favorite spot for the State Troopers. There is a small hill with a closed road on the right side ( west bound lanes ). They pull way up in there and are blocked by trees and brush. You can not see them until they are pulling out onto 380. The can actually radar your car way before you even get there. So be careful. I have been given a ticket for going 4 miles an hour over the posted limit.
