When heading West on 59, as you take the West Airport Exit, a Meadows Place policeman sits at the auto dealership just past the exit to make sure you quickly reduce your speed from highway speeds to the 45 MPH of the access road.

Meadows Place is a very small community in the suburbs of Houston, and touches on Sugar Land. There is one main route through the village and that’s West Airport Blvd. The Police are everywhere and it’s simply a speed trap. I have friends who have received tickets for five miles over the limit. The road is straight, double lanes on each side, and posted at 35mph.

During the school hours, there is always a cop sitting on the street called Dorrance to run traffic. Most of the time, they’ll sit near the street called Valencia or Meadow Trail. They’ll pull you over for every mile you go over! Especially that motocycle cop!

The Meadows Texas on two crosstreets mainly on West Airport between Dairy Ashford and US 59 (Southwest Fwy.). Motorcyle, patrol cars and unmarked patrol cars. In the morning be careful for Motorcycle patrolman hiding on a street behind a concrete reatining wall when you are heading westbound on West Airport towards Dairy Ashford. These guys have been making a killin’ with traffic fines for years and now that West Airport has been recently opened all the way out past Texas 6 to FM 1464 they have been having a field day with their infamous speed trap.
