Lexington Street near Moore Road

Missouri City, TexasMar 26, 20040 Comments

Lexington and Moore. The new stretch of Lexington (about three years old). From Fifth Street to Moore Rd. It is going to be a residetial area soon and is speed limited accordingly. Since it is thus far unresidented as of yet the patrolmen take advantage of the unsuspecting taxpayers and the curves and obstacles (high concrete barriers) and pin you with speeding as if it were residential already.

Colonial Lakes (Between Cartwright and Hwy 6)

The tall grass in the adjacent field and the gentle curve of Colonial Lakes allow the officers to hide right in the middle of the road. They typically catch people going from Hwy 6 to Cartwright…though I have seen them working the other side of the road as well. The speed limit is currently 30 MPH (should be 35 or 40 MPH), but my wife has asked that it be raised because she feels sorry for all the people being ticketed. After the grass has been mowed the cops tend to be a bit scarce.

Hwy 6 and Cartwright Road

Missouri City PD are running radar on Texas Pkwy (2234), Cartwright Road from 2234 all the way to Dulles, and you’ll also see them on Hwy 6 from Dulles to about Sienna Plantation. Warning: They don’t just get you for speed. Cutting through the parking lot Texas Pkwy/Cartwright will get you ticketed. Hartz chicken is there. Also, watch where you change lanes (not within 100′ of intersection or over solid stripe).
