Watch the speed limit signs past the "Stripes" gas station & do not go 45mph 55mph etc until you get to the posted speed limit- you may just get a warning, but you will get stopped by DPS

Cops patrol the area on Sealy where it is only 30 mph. They like to hide behind trees and buildings.

West 15th Street near State Highway 18   Monahans, Texas

Monahans Police regularly sit in the parking lot of the nursing home between Highway 18 and Loop 464. The speed limit here is 30 MPH, and they will pull you over for 31MPH, and most of the police officers in the town are less than friendly.

Interstate 20 near US Highway 80   Monahans, Texas

Excessive observation for any excess in speed during and immediately following busy (ie, holiday) weekends. This is especially vicious if you do not see where the speed limit drops because of the large number of vehicles on the road (particularly semi-trailers). Do not even attempt passing if this will cause you to exceed the speed limit.
