FM 565, FM 1409, Side Roads Branching off of These   Old River, Texas

The police (both county and state) have been getting a little friendlier on these roads lately. They've been patrolling roads that have almost never been patrolled before, so watch your speed. Be particularly careful on roads that have speed limits that are insanely, stupidly lower than they should be. These are the happy hunting grounds of the cops.

FM 565 and FM 1409   Old River, Texas

Both FM 565 and FM 1409 roads are patrolled very heavily. The officers that work here are strongly encouraged to write tickets and make this poor little city some money. I personally got stopped once in this town, and the officer that pulled me over took about 30 minutes to complete the stop. To make matters even worse, I was only going 5 miles over the posted speed limit and got a ticket, not a warning. They are nothing but traffic cops who are there only for money. The city court system is a joke too. The city judge and city attorney are partners in a law firm together.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
