I45 Northbound   Palmer, Texas

Had radar detector on & working all the way from Houston. Got to Palmer area on I45. Came down slight decline around a slight curve to the right & then went under an overpass. A Palmer cop hit me with a laser from above up on the right side of the overpass as I was rounding the curve down towards the overpass he was parked above. My radar detector NEVER caught it. His car was parked up high on the overpass shoulder above the traffic with the front aimed down on top of the northbound I45 traffic. There is no way a radar detector can pick this up or laser jammer can defeat it because he gets any light colored vehicle from above. My vehicle is a white pickup.

City limits end to end   Palmer, Texas

One car on each side of IH 45 generating revenue with a laser. Your detector won't pick it up until you are clocked.

I-45, from end-to-end of city   Palmer, Texas

This town makes most of its money from speeding tickets. It's the start of the Palmer-Ferris-Wilmer/Hutchis corridor where the speed drops to 65, then 60 all the way into Dallas. This is the most radared stretch of highway in Texas. If you're more than 7 over, your fair game. DPS on 45 is bad enough from Houston to Dallas; I commuted every week for 2 years. But I've never gone down this section south of Dallas without seeing multiple stops.

I-45 just at the underpasses   Palmer, Texas

Others have not yet mentioned, but Palmer police use a laser radar gun, often from behind. I have an Escort 9500xi and got surprised (in the tune of $225) by these guys. They sit up the onramp just under an underpass going north. Using laser in this direction, you get no warning, just popped. Watch the changing speed limits along the Corsicana to south Dallas. A lot of hungry small community cops.

Mile Marker 259 on I-45 North   Palmer, Texas

A Palmer officer was in a parking lot above the highway. He was across the feeder/access road on the right side up a hill in a parking lot. Absolutely ridiculous. The local paper actually lists the number of tickets each Palmer officer writes per month. I think the local cops have a contest going on.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
