Padre Boulevard Boulevard near State Highway 100   South Padre Island, Texas

Traveling on Padre Boulevard is difficult of you are one who spaces out on your speedometer. Law Enforcement officials there will write you up even if you are only 2 to 4 miles per hour over the speed limit. They hide around corners and buildings and target low end speeders every day all day.

Highway 100, the exit from Hwy. 77 to South Padre. Hwy. 100 all the way to South Padre.   South Padre Island, Texas

Once you exit off Hwy. 77 onto 100 you have about 25 miles of county, sheriff, and city police waiting for the weary traveler. Watch the quick sign changes as you near Los Fresnos. Drops from 60 to 45 to 30 pretty quick. Cruise through Los Fresnos. They love Spring Breakers. A favorite spot for the Highway Patrol during that time as well. Port Isabel, just before the causeway to South Padre, is well known for a strict 30 MPH limit. And of course South Padre is no exception, with the radar guns blasting the whole time.

Speeding Tickets

Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
