Interstate 79 near US Highway 79   Thrall, Texas

Come into town, the speed limits change three times in and three times out of this little mecca for speeding. Go two miles an hour over and they will....WILL ...pull you over.

Speed limit 45 changes to 35 at a difficult to see sign very near an intersection where there is an ever-present cop waiting

Highway   Thrall, Texas

I'm told Thrall lives off of its traffic ticket violations. There is one main highway that goes through Thrall (either 290 or 79, I don't remember which). It drops from 65 to 55 and then to 50 -- pretty standard for the local towns. However, they have radar and they're not afraid to use it. I know people who have gotten tickets for as little as 5 mph above the speed limit!! All the locals drive 45 through it; you'd best do the same.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
Find out why.

It's one of the "great" American past times: complaining about unfair speeding tickets. There are two types of people when it comes to complaining about this particular type of traffic ticket. Which group are you in?
