Hwy 377 eastbound before Tolar   Tolar, Texas

A couple of miles outside of Tolar where the Erath county line ends and Hood county begins the county sheriff are on patrol during the week when commuters are on their way. It's especially hilly around this area. Be sure to watch when passing other vehicles to stay under the speed limit because they will ticket for just a few miles over. I know.

State Highway 377 near State Highway 4   Tolar, Texas

As Hwy 377 enters Tolar, the speed limit drops from 70mph to 45mph part time officer in the town's one old Ford cop car with bald tires works mainly Fri thru Sun and gives no tolerance targets both north and south bound traffic.

US Highway 377 near Hwy 377 at the Highway 56 intersection   Tolar, Texas

They patrol the corner of Hwy 377 and Hwy 56 during the latter part of the week. The speed trap is run from about noon to the latter part of the evening. It has been reported that 88 tickets were written in 3 days.
