Tom Bean, Texas Speed Traps
Tom Bean
Police are sometimes in hiding waiting for someone to NOT drop to 50mph fast enough.
All along HWY 69 the small towns make money by doing this same tactic of hiding, especially at night, in parking lots and behind other vehicles to trap the unwary drovers… It’s a source of revenue for these little towns with little to offer…
On White Mound Road
They patrol the road for anyone they think is out of place speeding or not for one of their corrupt buddies in blue who lives off the road. The city of Tom Bean raises most of its ill gotten revenue this way. Like a toll to pass through their town.
Close to Tom Bean ag barn.
He hides under the shade of one tree that rest next to a wall of other trees. You can see the tire impressions where they park close to the Tom Bean ag barn.
Hwy 11 and Whispering Oaks
As you are leaving town the speed limit goes from 50 to 65, if you start to speed up when you see the 65 mile an hour sign the cops will stop you just before the sign even going well under 65. Definite speed trap.
State Highway 11
They will set with lights off in an abandoned gas station on the east side of town in trees. They will stop you 8mph and over. They always have cars stopped.
