The overpass that goes over the railway line has a pretty good hump in the road and the local police often sit on the east side of that hump waiting for folk to come over the bridge on the east bound side.

This area is patrolled by State Troopers 24/7! If you're on your way to Dallas OR Waco using IH-35 and you're in Waxahachie, pay attention! And don't think that because the troopers are driving the other way, that doesn't mean they can't bust a U-turn on you so WATCH OUT!

DPS out of Waxahachie (Ellis County) use radar and laser to enforce speed limit of 65. Everything around the area is 70 mph.
