Buffalo Speedway Road near Side Streets

West University, TexasNov 22, 20060 Comments

West U is a little hole in the wall city near Rice University. Buffalo speedway between Wespark and Holcombe is the worst. You Never know what side street they will be on and if you are not wearing a seat belt they will do a u-turn in the street and come after you. The town is really small but their courtroom is packed to the gills because they have all the medical center, Galleria, and Greeway Plaza traffic running through their city. Watch Out!

Bissonnet Street near Buffalo Speedway

West University, TexasNov 21, 20060 Comments

There is a church parking lot on the Eastbound side of Bissonnet between Edloe St and Buffalo Speedway. The officers are usually parked all the way in the back of the lot, and as the road curves just before this, you cannot see them until you are on their radar. They are there most times of day, but especially during the afternoon.

Buffalo Speedway Street near Bellaire Boulevard

West University, TexasNov 21, 20060 Comments

West University police officers park on the side of the street in the side lane (usually for parked cars). The speed posted is only 30mph which for the size and frequency of use of the street is well below what it should be. The officers are usually parked just north of Bellaire Blvd., or closer to Bissonnet off of Sunset Blvd. They are there mostly during late evening, and mid-morning, early afternoon.

West University police park on Bissonnet Street just east of the railroad tracks either in the center turn lane, or on a private driveway off of the side street Simmons. Coming from Bellaire, you cannot see them until you are over the tracks and already on their radar. Coming towards Bellaire, you cannot see them until you are passing the driveway and its too late then. They are there almost daily, and at multiple times during the day. They will pull you over for seven miles over the speed limit…
