Cops like to hide in the trees on the side of the road during the day or turn of their lights and sit in the dark at night. The speed limit is 35 mph but if you go in either direction it increases to 40 mph. The road is only 2 lanes but it is clear and smooth with relatively little traffic. There is no reason for the speed limit to be as low as 35 other than the cops like to make money off of it.

Police in Westworth are very aggressive…they will tailgate drivers for miles waiting for any sign of the smallest violation. Selection process is based on who they see first, I’ve witnessed this both personally and many times driving through. Do yourself a favor and avoid this backwater altogether!

This small town is constantly setting up speed traps, it is so bad that recently they acutually stopped cars on a Wed evening doing spot checks on drivers, well that is not illegal but when you hold up traffic coming out of the base and off of a major highway it becomes a nightmare. drivers The favorite time for the speed traps is Sunday around 1 in the afternoon and at night around 9 PM
