SH155 just north of town within 2 miles   Winona, Texas

Speed goes from 60 to 45 to 35 in less than a mile through a gentle curve. Local police sit on the right side 50-100 yards past the one 45mph sign. There is no reduce speed ahead sign to warn you. Miss the 45mph sign and they nail you for 60 in 45 zone while doing you a favor for not writing you up for 60 in a 35.

IH 20 mm# 568 near HWY 271   Winona, Texas

Texas DPS sitting near a overpass/bridge. Speed limit is 70mph but drops to 65 at night, not noticed by myself being from the west coast! He pulled me over for doing 71. Very nice officer, saw that it was 3 females (one being a child) in a truck/overhead camper. Asked us our destination and gave us good directions for RV park in Shreveport. I don't know if this is a true speed trap or not but I was on the downhill slope when I saw him in the median. He did not ticket me and wished us well! ALLRIGHT TEXAS! Thanks for the nice trip through your state!
