South Ogden, Utah Speed Traps

40th Street is often patrolled for traffic going west after 40th Street leaves Ogden City and enters South Ogden. There is a natural tendency for cars to pick up speed in this down-hill direction, especially since the posted speed changes from 40 mph in Ogden to 30 mph in South Ogden. Cops hide in the parking lot of the video store on the north side of the street and in the parking lots of the two gas stations on either side of the street a little farther west at 40th and Adams. It may be necessary to ride your brakes in order to mantain the 30 mph limit on the South Ogden portion of the road.
