HWY 50 between Bradshaw Road and Zinfandel Drive

Rancho Cordova, CaliforniaAug 25, 20150 Comments

Highway patrol wait on both sides of the freeway (East and West) for speedsters. They have their cars parked looking at traffic go by. They will get you. Especially on the weekends when people traveling to and from South Lake Tahoe or the mountains. Watch out. They are at each exit, Bradshaw, Mather, and Zinfandel. And sometimes they do a blitz where there are 3 or 4 CHP’s going from one side of the freeway to the next.

Cops sit on the side of the road right after it widens (heading northbound) with radar. Most people get stuck behind the big trucks so once the road finally widens, they give it some gas. Posted speed is 55, most people go 60-70.

Two very handsome officers sit at the corner of Sunrise Pines and Lincoln Village with a radar gun and get people speeding down Lincoln Village all the time.

International Drive, Rancho Cordova

Traffic heading east on International Drive between Data Drive and Zinfandel Dr will be greeted by a City Motorcycle using Radar at the entrance to the VERIZON BUILDING as they come around the blind curve. International is a 3 lane divided flat road with gentle left and right curves bound by business parks; open fields and the added distraction of low flying aircraft. The posted limit is 45mph but drivers during the lunch and evening drive like to rush through at 50mph even 60mph ensuring a chat with the Revenue Officer parked between the VERIZON SIGNS. Gotcha, Cha Ching….easy money…

This is used as a training ground for CHP Saturday and Sunday mornings. Works very well for them!
