Redwood City: Canyon Road & Oak Knoll (motorcycle cop)   Redwood City, California

Canyon Road & Oak Knoll has been a hotspot lately. A motorcycle cop wrote tickets all day yesterday (Sunday) and he is there today again (Monday) July 19th. I stopped counting at 10 but I think they must be writing far more than that. I got a ticket in San Mateo on 3rd yesterday for a clear U-turn into parking- another hidden motorcycle cop. They are going wild this month amid the cuts and layoffs.

Canyon Road & Oak Knoll (Emerald Hills area)   Redwood City, California

Motorcycle officer sits in the dark shade on the sidewalk under the overhang of the building that houses a Taco Shop, Cafe, and Hair Salon, watching the intersection. Yesterday on Sunday July 18th I counted 10 pullovers / tickets before I stopped counting yesterday. It's somewhat annoying to hear the siren every five minutes from where I live. Now there is an officer there again today doing the same thing.

Woodside Road (84) & Sequoia St   Redwood City, California

Westbound at just past Woodside Plaza NO U-TURN only left turn ONLY, drivers going into Shell Station must make U-turn, Police sit there and it will cost you over $300 for this illegal U-Turn. ROAD IS NOT MARKED PROPERLY.I reported to CALTRANS and Redwood City Council. Mayor and Public works and CALTRANS agreed with me! New Highway Traffic safety sign Laws, take effect 2012. Woodside Rd. is ticket paradise!

Redwood shores parkway @ cringle drive   Redwood City, California

The only intersection on the entire strip of redwood shores pkwy, located at cringle drive, that does not have a stop sign! Police vehicle sits on the right as you drive towards 101. Because this intersection is the only one without a stop sign, EVERYONE tends to speed up a little bit for that stretch between stop signs (which is two very large blocks) there has been much debate whether or not to add a stop sign at this intersection...lower your speed, they tagged me at 40--in a 35?!?

Woodside Road westbound almost to 280 onramp   Redwood City, California

Eastbound Woodside Road is 45 mph most of the way downhill. Now westbound has been changed to have a 35 mph zone (according to sheriff about 9 months ago) right AFTER the posted 45 mph zone. There is a smaller sign saying 35 mph zone ahead and then another small 35 mph sign and almost right before you get on the onramp turnoff for 280, the officer was parked on a side dirt road aiming with radar.

Speeding Tickets

You deserve every speeding ticket you get. You can complain all you want after the fact, but it's true.
